Commiserations to Brownie, could see he was not in the zone but pushed on manfully. TBH I reckon a 15 mile day is a more enjoyable rhythm. And can add a few more pack kilos - cooker and camp chair for example. Quality work as usual Darren - 'music' on this series doing me head in though!

My sympathies to Mr Brown. I’m enjoying seeing the route again and appreciate the time and effort you take to film it whilst hiking, your dedication to your art of filmmaking is admirable. Pulling off those distances in that heat is punishingly exhausting though and requires focused effort to drink enough water, let alone coping with hammered feet. I’m guessing you did the walk in such a short time because of fitting it into time off work but it’s a shame you couldn’t have stretched it to maybe 8 days to give more flexibility with shorter days and less pressing need to rush through the landscape. I’m looking forward to watching some more of your videos of hikes that I’ve done.

My heart goes out to Brownie. I wish he would buy more technical gear though, it’s definitely a game changer.
Still a hugely enjoyable series Daz. The scenery is beautiful.
Btw, which drone are you using? I use the DJI Mini 3 Pro.

Hope Mr Brown is fully recovered. No mountains on the SDW but plenty of ascent especially when you’re doing 20 miles a day which is good going in that heat. Many years ago I cycled the SDW in a day and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done!
