The reason why we move the capital is because Jakarta are to complicated with many sosio-environment problems my friend. Land sinking problem, which is now Jakarta surface area are literally below the sea level. Over populated and over crowded which make it difficult for Indonesia to embrace the net zero emission. More over, those problems now become an obstacles in many aspects of governmental and business. The longer we hold the capital in Jakarta, means the bigger suffered of lost money for us. suffered.

Nusantara area is a industrial forest with single plant ( eucalyptus) and harvested every 5-7 years. So the ecosystem already damage for many years. With Nusantara development, the government will replanted those area with many indigenious plant so the rain forest ecosystem will be back. The first step to make nusantara to become forest, government build Mentawir Nursery which can produce more than 1 million trees every year. Development of Nusantara will be finished in 2045 and designed for 2 millions people with the total area 6 times bigger than Jakarta. Indonesia independence day will be inaugurated in Nusantara on August 17th 2024. Nusantara city will be open and operated maybe in the end of this year ( 1st phase) and the residence mostly ministry officer, army and police. There are some project on going such as hospital, hotel, superblock ( mall, apartment and hotel), international school, Training center from FIFA etc. Nusantara will be livable city during its development because its only 1 hour from 2 main city in East Kalimantan : Balikpapan and Samarinda. East Kalimantan is famous for its natural resources richness from Coal, OIl, Gas, fertilizer plant etc where many big corporation has operation in there.

Jakarta is too dense and overpopulated, there are floods, water pollution, sinking land, bad air pollution, traffic jams, very little green open space, and poor city planning.
