MSI GF65 Thin 10UE Teardown and Ram Upgrade

In this video im opening up my MSI GF65 Thin 10UE (10500H / 3060)

Checking out the cooling, reparability and what can be upgraded on this model
Before you ask, The GPU and CPU cannot be upgraded

This is the Blue Pad i always have on my videos usually set at 60 Oc
I use this to soften adhesive on mobile devices.

my go to glue for almost everything now days!

Used to open ipad and remove glued back covers on phones

When using the heat gun near sensitive parts, its best to cover them
With this to protect them

The usual tape i use on most repairs, on screens

For things that need more Stick!,usually on tablet digitizers

A Similar tool kit to mine, that i use for those random screws that you dont normally see

My Soldering Station i use, so far it has been good

This was a purchase to learn a bit more in micro soldering
So far it has been a great purchase

Advanced readouts of power draw on devices

A Simple Amp tester to see if your charger is actually putting out power

The Black Tweezers i use in my videos

This is the same as the metal pry tool i use, different brand printed on it

A New Version of the pry tools

This is the kit i purchased to do micro soldering, if you see a video

The Charging station i use out the back, usually having multiple devices connected
Doesn't support Fast charging but still does a good job

wanna share a short update regarding my gf65 thin 10sdr, it is said that supports up to 64GB ram but after i upgraded the device it was turning off constantly after random activity, went to pc service and they told its the charger so i bought a new one (lol) and that didn't fix the issue, so finally i was able to fix it by myself. This laptop does not support 64GB ram although it is said so by Msi... i tested both sticks separately in both slots and they ran without problem on fully occupied pc, so it turned out that there was no bad ram stick. aT the final i put my old stick of 8gb together with the 32gb stick and currently running 40Gb of Ram, cuz i guess there's no enough power to supply all the 64Gb, cheers

Remember to disconnect the screw underneath the factory seal!

Thanks for the video. I got this laptop recently and have been considering upgrading the ram + a second SSD, this helps a lot.

The video audio was a bit funny throughout the video. e.g. at 11:04, the word 'hopefully' is distorted

Could you tell me what kind ram should I buy? I get it should be 3200mhz and sodimm but I've seen 1Rx8 and 1Rx16. Is that makes a difference? Is stock ram 1Rx16?
Im about to buy Kingston 8gb 3200mhz 1Rx16 or 1Rx8. What do you think?

Hey Rick, the spudgers you use (which are nice) are out of stock / the link doesn't work.
I got some terrible spudgers that just cut up my hand and I had to just use my smallest flathead screwdriver and deal with the slight plastic scrapes/shaves.
Any current links for the spudgers/pry tools similar to the ones you use?

Hey, do you think this laptop is worth it? I usually tend to keep laptops for atleast 5 years without reaching service centre. I mainly wanna know about build quality of hinge and overall build quality of the laptop (If it's sturdy enough).
