Review Citroen 2CV EV - Drive of the Hilarious 2ECV from The2CVShop

Finally! My review of the electric Citroen 2CV - the 2ECV. I've been waiting to try this for two years! First met Darren from The2CVShop at an NEC show and again last year at the London EV Show. The 2CV is a brilliant little car, light and nimble with a supreme ride, but the engine isn't exactly sacred. So why not swap it out with a battery. This conversion still only weighs about 700kg and has a range of just under 70 miles.

It's been brilliantly converted to electric by The2CVShop in the UK, using a kit supplied by Mehari Club Cassis in France. Watch to see how that 10 kWh battery performs and if the driving experience retains all the quirky joy of the original 2CV. Whether you're a classic car enthusiast or an EV aficionado, this ride is sure to fascinate!

I like the idea of classics converted to electrics, subject to certain qualifiers, but I want a clutch a gearbox! The qualifications? The conversion needs to be reversible, involve no major chassis surgery and not be applied to a rare or historically important vehicle. Oh, and I have to be able to afford it!
