The US national debt is a runaway train. It's growing exponentially and there is no stopping it. The eventual outcome is not pretty.

We should be very worried.

The US Dollar has been buying less and less for decades already because the US dollar is no longer backed with Gold and the USA has been running up their National debt. As everything in this world has been priced in US Dollar for decades, this inflation did not hit the USA until recently because this inflation has been exported to countries outside the USA who are producing this goods and services for the US markets.

How does this happen ? The world’s currencies are backed by the US Dollars in place of Gold, therefore whenever any country produces goods and sell them in US Dollar will find that the value of their US Dollar is worth less they receive their US Dollars for the goods they produced. Therefore they need to sell the goods they produce for more US dollars in the future. However this has become a vicious cycle for a very long time. Now that the USA has weapons the US Dollars and countries are starting to price their goods in their local currencies, they suddenly find that the goods are reducing or stabilising outside the US dollar. Whilst the USA is beginning to feel the effect of inflation.

India's UPI payment system can also play a major role, it completely ends the need of exchanging in dollar,
