This technique is best with knotless braids but can be applied to knotted box braids as well.

I tried this and it worked. I pulled the braids through once, twice is too much. I also maintained the braids and shampooed my hair. Some of the braids were a troublesome to take down but I had no real issues. Over all, I was able to keep y braids in for two months.

I have been trying to find this video since it resurfaced on instagram. THIS IS NOT LOCKING YOUR HAIR to all the people that think this will loc your hair it won't! I actually tried it about a week or two ago and just took my braids down and they were as healthy as ever! doing this to refresh my braids for a wedding and so happy i came across it. I tried it half-a$$ed on a braid or two and even without gel and defining the parts, I could see the instant improvement. Looking forward to a full head touch up.

I wouldn't advise anyone with fine hair to do this. I did this and my hair locked a little further down from the root. Now slowly taking them out without losing too much hair.

I am finding this after I tried the rubberband refresh method. HUGE mistake. Only lasted a week because they hurt & I had to take them out. I just washed my braids & was gonna make them last one more week til after Thanksgiving & take them out and then this popped up as a suggestion!! BEST SUGGESTED VIDEO EVER!!!! Now I cant wait for my hair to dry to try this!!!
