Spending the afternoon with Mitski she would fool you into thinking she’s quite and introverted. Sitting on a small row boat on the lake her songs felt warm and melancholy. She had us fooled with her quite sensibilities. It wasn’t until later that night when we saw her play with a full band and a packed house that we realized we had been misled. Fully plugged in she slays on bass and sings with the precision of an accurate sniper. Her vocals and thoughts so focused they run chills down your spin.
