A delta is a type of estuary consisting of numerous river arms forming a roughly triangular (like a Greek capital delta letter), usually very fertile area (Nile delta is a perfect example)

Jermeny thunder, this is hands down the best cities skyilnes series (ever?) and you never should stop it. Don't listen to the haters, they hate you because they ain't you. Also I am excited to see what you do with the viridian city gym, which is a really important building given its also the last gym and where giovanni's headquarters are.

I recommend looking at Nagasaki or Sasebo, as I think they fit better with the geography you have

Hope that guy that was hating in the last videos comments is happy with this episode 💀

Overall the video is great but you should add one very important thing. Almost every somewhat major train station has a bus terminal in the front, some cities like Mito and Aomori even have two on both sides. That'd make the already great looking station even better.

Delta is not a regional terminology, but it is present in other lenguages. For example the word exists and has the same meaning in Spanish.

Fun Fact: Aomori City is the single snowiest place on Earth with 312 inches of snow per year on average. This is due to its geography being directly in the middle of multiple wind patterns colliding, thus causing thick cloud formations and heavy precipitation.

I think it would be really cute to focus a lot on the reds, yellows, and blues, alongside green as the original games were called Red and Green in Japan (Green being Blue in US/Europe) and the third installment being Yellow.

WOW Great city layout. But it really bothers me that there is no crosswalk in front of the train station. I can't wait to see what's next.

The word Delta comes from the greek letter that literally looks like a river delta. (Δ) Thus the name given.

6:47 There is something like that just outside of Cleveland and Akron, Ohio in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. There are 2 massive bridges crossing the valley and they are only 2, 000 feet apart! It's really cool! Amazing view across both bridges too! Here are the coords if you're interested: 41°15'29.3"N 81°33'28.1"W

Great video! Love this episode!

Also, for the region's rail network, you should do a single Shinkansen mainline through the largest cities, then have smaller regional, lines spurring off of it.

As a rule of thumbs to differentiate confluences and deltas : a confluence is where two rivers upstream meet to form one larger river downstream, whereas a delta is where a single river splits into two or more branches (usually because the terrain is very flat and/or sandy) until it reaches the shoreline and meets a sea, forming a triangle which looks like the Greek letter delta.
In Veridian City, it looks like you have a confluence ! And my guess is that the hilly geography of Japan would make a river delta really out of place but maybe I'm wrong...
(also I don't know what Americans or English people say to designate those river formations, English is not my first language)
Anyways I love this series, keep it up ! Greetings from France :)

Already loving the change in vibe from pallet to here. I love the irregular shapes in the structures like the quay and plaza, it helps it look much more warm and green than “city”
