I loved shopping for groceries in Japan. My DIL sent me to the supermarket with a list in English, Japanese and a little drawing of what to look for. The fruit was amazing, the fish counters were bigger than our meat counters. She knew I’d take longer with shopping because I just loved to look at everything and buy things that caught my eye but had no idea what to do with them 😁

I have always wanted to move to and live in Japan but at 38 years old and counting, that dream feels more and more difficult to realize with each passing day. It's nice to be able to live vicariously through videos such as yours and others. They always put me at ease and give me reason to think if I were ever able to make that move, or at least take a vacation there, I would find the sense of peace I have been in search of for a very long time.

On a side note, it's nice to see at least one person who displays their cooking skills who doesn't slice and dice their vegetables as though they have been a professional chef since the moment they first drew breath. I never could slice an onion properly.
