75 Gallon Reef Tank - Reef Tank System Update - October 2019

This video is a record of my 75 gallon reef tank and how it's all running. I'm using 2 radion xr15 g4 pro led lights, 2 single reefbrite t5 fixtures with ATI actinic t5 bulbs. My sump is a custom diy sump. I'm using the reef octopus protein skimmer. It is the essence 130 protein skimmer.

Final question (for now :) - there’s some evidence that nitrates at a reasonable level actually contribute to LPS coral health and color and yours are amazingly vibrant. What do you feed them and how often? Thanks for all the advice!

Hey Billy, tank looks great! Was wondering, with no chaeto and only a skimmer and media balls (marine pure?) in the sump - what are your nitrates like?

Billy I have the same size tank and it is 2 years old...Your tank looks soooo much better! I love your islands aqua scape. I currently have a Cobalt C-Ray 200 and 2 T-5s. I am thinking of replacing the T-5s with blue reef brites...thoughts? Again congrats on such a great looking tank!

Another question - I also have a fire fish and wanted to add more, how are your five doing together? Lots of googling and reading suggests they will kill each other off until down to two. Any thoughts?

Great update and I feeling your pain to i traded corals for a orange butterfly fish, the fish was doing good for the first week. His appetite has been pretty good too. I have seen him eating some of the aiptasia and food. My tang has gotten along fine with it. In fact I still have mirror up for the tang . This is the 2nd butterfly fish I have gotten and that has died. I don't understand why? I have a filefish and I don't see him eat the aiptasia I also have 2 peppermint shrimp that I never see I've tried aiptasia x. My tank would look great if I did not see all this blown aiptasia
