The Supreme Court overturned the landmark abortion law Roe v. Wade and will allow states to ban abortion.

This has prompted a response from the NY Attorney General Letitia James, as well as Governor Hochul.

In a tweet, AG James states, "Make no mistake: While other states strip away the fundamental right to choose, New York will always be a safe haven for anyone seeking an abortion."

Governor Hochul has been a vocal proponent of women's rights, maintaining that access to abortion is a human right.

Plus, New York laws passed in anticipation of Supreme Court ruling protect abortion access, and Dozens in Syracuse join together in response to supreme court overturning Roe v. Wade

I am pro life . . . but, I DO NOT like the government or polotical parties telling the american citizens do not have a right to privacy . . . that is unacceptable.

I think the congress should pass a law guaranteeing the American citizens the right to privacy . . . if democrats keep it narrow and focused on privacy. . . they could most likely get republican support. It would be mighty hard for republicans to stand or fight against privacy for the individual citizen.... Their base likes privacy and government saying out of their business
