One of the things that can be a real pain in Adobe Illustrator is the additional anchor points that get added when merging or combining shapes together. Thankfully, there are a number of ways that we can remove these anchors.

In this video, I go over one technique that can be usefully called Simplify. The tool is great for reducing anchor points 🙌 I hope it helps!👍

Quick note! The simplify tool can alter the overall design, which is why I like to click into the advanced settings and then turn on 'show original path' to see the before and after effects!
