Man one of my best friends when I worked at a call center was a lesbian woman who dressed like a dude but she never once asked me to call her a man or tried to even pretend she was. I'm not trying to disagree or second guess the audience member but I personally don't like the expression "I identify as ...". She is black, she is a woman and I believe she is a lesbian.

I'm white, male, heterosexual. I don't identify as such, I just am. I am a mammal. I am alive. I am sentient. I am human.

I don't identify as anything, I either am or I am not.
