*sigh, I miss the time when a coin costs P30. Later got raised to P50 pre-pandemic. Will try to drop by perhaps on December for a peek hoping for more Gundam related stock.

They are basicallt charging P65 for 100JPY that is almost 200% markup(¥100 = P38) assuming they are getting those gachapon at Japan retail price but of course they are probably getting them at wholesale if not distributor price which would be between 30-70% less of the retail price. Of course there's operating, importation and other expenses but a one full size container van will fit millions of these toys. Considering how poor the general public is, it may not be a good for their business longevity.

Our token price is actually in line with how much they generally cost outside of Japan. If anything, we're one of the cheapest places to buy Bandai gashapon from. In Indonesia it's 20000 IDR, which is 72 PHP. Singapore, 2 SGD which is about 87 PHP. In the US, a whopping 2 USD. The only market matching our current price is Malaysia at 5 MYR.

We also have a distinct advantage compared to other countries because we host a Bandai Namco factory on our soil. That's why stock found in other countries can have "Philippines" printed on it.
