I've watched dozens of different people tie. and you wouldnt believe how many of them drop 1 turn over the material and then two behind it...and you can watch right there as the material they just put 1 turn over loosens up...Drives me crazy to watch. And these are experienced tyers!

You are one of the few tyers who mentions the main reason for helicoptering rather than cutting the wire - to bury it in the head. Of course, no matter how good you are, Murphy’s Law of Fly Tying always applies: there is always one stray fiber. ;-)

Not only do you do an amazing job: but this is so well shot, edited, and produced that it blew my mind to find you were a smaller channel. Sounds like you got a cold or something. Hope you're feelign better, but seeing as this was posted in May 2022 i'm sure you're doing better =) I'm following along with a lot of your vids. I just started tying and my first fly was the Copper John. Didnt do too bad, but the legs! those things are hella hard!

Charlie, have you ever tried breaking the tips out of the marabou tail feathers? It looks a little too much like a brush for my taste, but you’re the expert here. God knows I’m not. 🙄
