How to properly apply Moisturiser, Primer, Foundation & Concealer
Показать описание
Step 1: Apply a Good Moisturiser
It all starts with a good moisturiser that is suitable for your skin type and needs, as it will help to moisturise and hydrate the skin well before moving on to the next step.
Take a bit on your finger, rub it between your fingers and gently apply it all over the face in circular motions.
Give it at least 30 seconds to a minute to absorb into the skin.
Step 2: Find Your Primer
There are several different types of primers on the market and it can be overwhelming to read about pore minimising primers, glow primers, moisturising primers, oil-controlling primers, and colour neutralising primers at the same time.
To properly identify your skin type and requirements, you must take a closer look in the mirror. Do you have large pores? Go with a pore minimising primer. Do you get dry areas? Buy a moisturising primer. Is your skin matte and dull? Go with a glow primer.
Carefully evaluate all your options before deciding on the right product.
Step 3: Apply the Primer
Method 1:
• Take some of the primer on your fingers and gently pad or press the product into your skin, focusing on areas where you have larger pores. The rest can be applied all over the face in circular motions.
Method 2:
• Take some of the product on your fingers and blend it into your forehead, cheeks, chin, and the area around your nose using circular motions.
Step 4: Apply a Base Product
When the skin is well prepared, you can move onto your base application. This can be a tinted moisturiser, BB or CC cream, or any kind of foundation.
For best results, use your fingers or a dense foundation brush to evenly apply your base product on your skin. This will give you the best finish.
Step 5: Apply Concealer
Concealer can be applied to get a little more coverage in certain areas such as under the eyes or over blemishes and to mask redness. It is a great way to keep the foundation very light but only use a bit more product to wherever it is needed.
Apply a few dots to the areas where you require more coverage and gently blend it in with a smaller brush. You can also just use your fingers and, if needed, set it with a bit of face powder.
Additional Information:
If you experience problems such as patchiness or when the products are layering unevenly on top of each other, it sometimes can happen that some products do not work properly together.
This might be because the moisturiser does not work with the primer or the primer does not react well with the base product, or the other way around.
If this happens, please try to skip on of the products and reapply it to see which product is causing the problem so that you know what to do next.
