doesnt the first one has a selution. x=6, 5

(6.5*4-1)^(0.5)=-5

because the root of a is +/- a^(0.5).

Isn't 6.5 a solution to the first one? 6.5*4=26>26-1=25>sqrt of 25=-5?

Right because the sqaure root can be positive or negative.
