"Chucking foreground" - I like that description.

That first photo for me looks like 2 dancers. The one on my right is bowing to take the others hand to start the dance. Just love it 😁

I am pleased that you said that too saturated photos are not the best. I look at others and many nowadays appear to do just that. I agree with yourself and it does not look natural. I was beginning to think my own work would not be appropriate (if that is the best word 🤔) in comparison to these mentioned type of images.

Really informative video. Thanks Henry. Never known anyone so happy about getting soaked! You’re always a tonic and images are great as usual.

Some excellent tips on taking your landscape photography. I think it helps in the general aspect of how to take your own images.

Great advice re ISO, too many landscape photographers have an unhealthy obsession with base ISO leading to self imposed lost opportunities ;)

Lovely video. The commentary on using higher ISOs so spot on. I only just got my first camera a few weeks ago and have watched many videos. All say the same thing, low ISO; so this was refreshing, and correct as my photos today came out really well using higher ISOs. So, thank you, my confidence is growing.

Hit the nail on the head Sir! I spoke about saturation in my most recent video for exactly the same reasons!

Keep up the good work my friend!

I agree with all the points you mentioned.
I don't spend a lot of time on processing my image's as you can get over critical with them.
I agree, why is everyone obsessed with foreground subject, ok sometimes it is necessary but not all the time.
You still managed to capture some really nice image's.

How wonderfully relevant this is to me. I think I lack a degree of understanding of negative space and using it effectively in my photography. But I think I'm getting there. The biggest though is a lack of patience, for sure. And that's something I think I really suffer from: I hurry too much when in a location, and strongly believe I miss a great deal because I'm too keen to get *an* image rather than finding the *best* compositions that are there. Old people: always rushing around, never taking their time...😁😉

Thank you for a great video Henry, things to think about. Hello from Australia.

Claggy! Now THAT'S a saying that can have very different meanings depending on which part of the country you happen to reside! Claggy, where I'm from, on the Notts/Derbyshire border has absolutely nothing to do with the weather! It means sticky, or chewy (as in, get's in yer mouth a bit!) A sticky Toffee for example, might be described as 'Claggy'. 😁😁

Great video. I also struggle with patience. For me it means giving up and moving to something else. Just bought your ebooks.

Just three weeks ago nearly a month
I bought the Nikon d3100 with two lenses 18 to 55 and the other one was 55 to 300 kit lens then I had to wait about 4 days for the camera bag to come in not to mention another day after that for the tripod and cleaning kit and the L-bracket so I can put it in one big old box so I can ship it to my nephew because at his school he was starting to learn photography with the Nikon d3100 so in all that cost me roughly around $550 u.s.

The camera actually came from the two YouTubers who do camera reviews and this was practically 100% brand new it only had 2939 shutter count the hardest part for me was to figure out change the language from North Korean to American it was about 3 hours of hell after that it took me thirty seconds to have fun before I shipped it when my nephew got it he was smiling from ear-to-ear

Great stuff. Always enjoy your VLOGS. I took your advice and recently spent 8 days in Keswick hiking and photography. What a Gem Keswick and the area is. Thanks for the advice. Keep on the great job.

I was up on Whitbarrow last Friday, a lovely clear day. It's a cracking walk for half a day or an evening 👌.... with some superb photo ops!
Great video Henry, cheers Alistair 👍
