My generation learned british english pronounciation. Then came my children they picked up either british english or american english in school & college. They corrected my british pronounciation of schedule. Told them pronounciation are different all over d world. I was glad tht i got to prove it with this video 😂

Americans who say "The English don't pronounce these words right" often don't understand that people in the UK are the ones who actually pronounce these words correctly. Americans are the ones who later changed the pronunciation of some of the words in the English language. The English pronounciations, such as saying schedule as "sh-edule" and not "sk-edule", are the originals. They came first. That's why the language is called English and not American

I thought I was going mad 😅 Everybody around me in London pronounce it <sk> like American versions, even the dictionary 📚 I was so confused because I learned it in school like <sh>.

I learned English mostly from British and Irish shows and influencers. My English teacher got so mad at me for saying things like gherkins and aubergine, because she didn’t understand what I meant. What truly infuriated her was particularly my pronunciation of herbs and schedule. She said I’m being pretentious 🙃

The correct English prounciation of "Schedule" is "shedule". The letter "c" should be silent.

Americans do not pronounce the word "schedule" like you said. It´s "skeh-jool".

my boss says 'shed-yule'. he's british. i'm also british but say 'skedule'. sounds better to me.

I always figured most British people were brought up speaking the queen's English,
