- When did you start kayaking? - When I was 8 years old.

- What size penny board do you ride? - I have both the Penny & the Nickel.

- What do your tattoos mean? My star was just because I thought it looked good. My skull was my reward for winning the marathon world championships in 2010, my triangle on my hand reminds me to keep moving forward and make progress, and my turtle/Pura Vida tattoo on my leg is a reminder of my amazing time in Costa Rica. New tattoos - mountains on my arm & VV on my wrist because I didn't know what I wanted until 5 mins before I got them!

- How do you make money? - YouTube/Freelance film/photo & my clothing brand

- Do you ship clothing world wide? - We ship to most countries.

- What editing program do you use? - Premier Pro CC on Mac

- Did you go to university? - No

- What steady cam do you use? - GlideCam 4000

- Why aren't you training for kayaking anymore? - I see new opportunities everyday, I'm just grabbing them as they appear and keep working hard, right now that's YouTube & Film. I'm happy I made the change!

- How long do your vlogs take to edit? - They vary massively, sometimes 1 hour sometimes 6+

I disagree that there's no story in this film. They arrived before dawn, drove around, played with sand, had food and coffee, chilled, messed about, then drove a bit more until the day ends. The shots were sequenced chronologically, or at least sort of - dawn at the start then harsh lighting of mid-day followed by warmth and eventually dusk.
Ben has said this Visual Vibes wouldn't be like the Canada one, and I can see that he's made the best out of a one-day shoot. It will never be as dramatic as Inception or whatever - this is not what Ben does, at least for now - but there IS a story, of a fun adventure/day out with their mates in their 4x4's, which many in the comments have missed.
The light storyline actually allows other things to take centre stage - the choice of music (which fits so perfectly this can be its accompanying video), the cinematography, the editing etc. which are probably what Ben wants to showcase in his Visual Vibes.
I loved it. Keep up the great work Ben!

And this, Ben, is the reason you changed my life! Your Visual Vibes, your photography and vlogs inspired me so much that I made an important decision in my life. I stopped studying engineering, which I only did because it would pay off well, and starting studying mediasciences. So that I can follow my passion and dream of becoming a content creator and film maker, inspire the world around me and do something in and with my life that fullfills me. Trying to get to the level of you and other people I look up to is what drives me daily to improve and challenge myself.
