Great review and the comparison of some different models will be valuable to anyone considering buying a Benu. I love Benu pens and write with them everyday. I could go on and on about the virtues of various models but I think once people write with a Benu they become fans. It’s nice to see more retailers in Canada starting to carry them as well.

My first Benu was a Briolette with a medium nib. My first impression was not good. I found it to be too scratchy--too much feedback. However, after a bit of experimentation with my writing angle, shifting the pen a little more vertical, it was wonderfully smooth and a lovely wet writer. The pen was a consistent, dependable writer with zero skips or hard starts. Next, I got a Euphoria with a medium nib. It is a much more comfortable pen to hold with plenty of room to adjust my grip if I choose. It is a wonderfully smooth and dependable writer, also on the wet side with the medium nib. I love that. Now, after your excellent reviews of these three pens, I feel compelled to go get that Talisman pen in that Dragon's Blood color.

Benu is coming out with some interesting material (not to everyone taste), but it is interesting take on pen bodies and what can be done with the materials.

I have a Benu Talisman Venus’s hair, and is is a gorgeous warm caramel with just enough glitz. It is butter smooth in a broad and one of my faves

Oh come on, you know you want a sparkling pen. That Celebration pen is beautiful. Wish I'd known about that one, when it was available. I have seven Benu pens; three Euphorias ( Bourbon, Truphae Exclusive Pomegranate Wine, and the New Year 2023, which was a Goldspot Exclusive ) and three Talismans ( Venu's Hair, Goldspot Exclusive Sakura, Gourmet Pens Exclusive True Unicorn ) and a Minima Skull & Roses Smoulder.

I would love to get some exclusive Benu's from Goulet Pens but the shipping, taxes and fees to Sweden is terrible. 😢 I found one amazing exclusive at Cult Pens in UK that at least might be obtainable. At first I thought people were crazy liking Benu's, but I watched Kerri (?) at Pens & Tea on YT raving on how great they are that I started to look more closely at them and finally I started to love the little rascals since I love happy colours and some day I will get one. 😇🩵🙏🙌

As always, excellent review! I always felt Benu pens were to "over the top" for me, but finally pulled the trigger when the Euphoria was introduced. I opted for the "Caviar" finish. Of course, I couldn't just settle for one Benu, and pulled the trigger again on a Talisman "Dragon's Blood". That's it, I'm done! Cheers!

I’m all about the sparkly, glitzy, mirror ball and plastic look. I’ve been considering Euphoria Vodka on the Rocks since seeing one in person a few years back. Finally bought one last week, with a fine nib, which I was expecting to be broader than it is….but it’s a great writer. Decently wet and writes beautiful. No regrets. Pricing is strange, though, I paid 128.00 USD, but some places it’s over $160.

Appreciate you taking one for the team, Doug! Benu pops up on a lot of reviews but I'm likely more in your camp --the glitter and sparkle are not exactly my cup of tea. Mind you, I do like some chatoyance but glitter? Not so much.
