Integrity is the mark of a real man. If you have integrity, you have power and respect. Some would say it is a masculine virtue, I would say it is a virtue found in both men and women, but sadly it is not common anymore.

I've been struggling with this very thing in my mind here in the U.S. Our current state of affairs in this country have only shown just how little Integrity is in politics. I am deeply saddened by this . I served this country with honor and integrity as a soldier and as a police officer, why is it so hard for our leaders to do the same? They swore an oath that they are not going to uphold, but yet their soldiers have! Just disgusted. Thank you Bjorn for being a great man to listen to! This gives me hope!

People who automatically think anyone they talk to has no integrity--who think you will lie, cheat, steal, hurt others, run from danger, throw the innocent in front of you to stay alive, fight to stay weak, take drugs to stay asleep--usually have no integrity themselves.

That said, we're all imperfect. I've made many mistakes, and I doubtless will make more even though I try not to. But I admit my mistakes, take responsibility for my mistakes, fix my mistakes if I can, and learn from them regardless.

Honor and integrity seem to be forgotten words in today’s world.

Related story to this topic: often I take off in my motor-home for a weekend, I went to a roadside campground about 2 hours out of town. The place is right on the ocean and has very little services so it doesn't have a full time attendant. One weekend after arriving and setting up camp I was walking my money to the pay box that's set up at the entrance. It costs $17.00 per night and its what they call the HONOR system. while talking to the couple in the RV across from me, they assured me they had not paid for 3 days and that no one comes around to check. I told them its the HONOR system and that I don't leave my HONOR in the city it goes with me everywhere. The women looked at her husband and I could see the look in his face, I walked away. Those are not the type of people I invest my time in.
