Learn Abacus Addition with Big Friends Concept.
In big friends concept 10 is the boss.
The friends include
1 is the friend of 9
2 is the friend of 8
3 is the friend of 7
4 is the friend of 6
5 is the friend of 5
6 is the friend of 4
7 is the friend of 3
8 is the friend of 2
9 is the friend of 1

How to do abacus addition?

Let us take an example,
7 + 9
Step 1: Place 7 on the abacus.

Step 2: Now 9 is to be added here, Check whether are there enough beads at the lower end or not.
Here there aren't enough beads.

Step 3: Add 10 , check who the friend of 9 is.

Step 4: 1 is the friend of 9.

Step 5: Remove 1 from the units rod.
The answer is 16.
