More than 1 in every 100 people has a genetic predisposition to a hereditary type of heart disease. This webinar is presented by Amy Sturm, CGC LGC. During the webinar, Amy discusses the most common types of hereditary heart diseases, including coronary heart disease and heart attacks, aneurysms, abnormal heart rhythms called arrhythmias, a very common form of hereditary high cholesterol called familial hypercholesterolemia, as well as others. She covers clues and signs, sometimes called “red flags,” in your personal medical and family histories that may indicate there is a hereditary risk for heart disease.

Thank you for this! These passed 6 months, I've had my grandma and her 2 sisters die of silent heart attacks. They were all in their lower 60's. My mother and I as well as some aunts, have hypertension and tachycardia. We were prescribed medicines by the cardiologist. My grandma and I believe her sisters all took similar medicines to my mother & I. Considering I'm 19 & live a healthy lifestyle but still have such a high heart rate and blood pressure really scares me. My grandma was the healthiest person I knew and she just randomly dropped dead one day. It's soooo crazy & I appreciate this video.
