Photoshop Tutorial: Airbrushed Film Poster Style Photo Effect

preview_player
Показать описание
In today's Photoshop tutorial I'm going to show you a mix of filters and adjustments we can apply to a photograph to mimic the retro style airbrushed painted look associated with classic film posters. Imagine the poster art for original Star Wars trilogy, the Indiana Jones movies, and pretty much any action/adventure film from the 80s! They all feature incredibly life-like depictions of the actors and characters, which are almost like photos, but they have a clear hand painted appearance with subtle brush strokes, outlining marks and quite high contrast with vibrant colours.

What a fantastic tutorial. Straight to the point. Quickly going from one step to the next without useless chatter.

I love that you understand that there is in fact a pause button but there is no "skip useless dialogue about nothing" button.

This was such a good tutorial, that I feel like you just exposed a technique no one should know about! Thank you so much!

Though this will never achieve the quality of Drew Struzan, it's still incredible that this can be done in Photoshop. Nice work!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. Probably my favorite; I don't like it when work looks like a 3-click filter. The results from this tutorial legitimately look like an oil painting. Outstanding sir.

I'm one of those photography snobs that thinks if you use photoshop you've entered graphic design art not photographic art. This is the first use of it, that applaud completely for two reasons. It looks awesome and MORE IMPORTANTLY. You still have to start with an amazing image! The photography part of it critical to get the end result and that, I like a lot. Great tutorial.

Lol, I couldn't figure out how to do this a few years back, so I've been spending the past few years just straight up painting people to get this effect. Haha

Wow... There's a lot of Photoshop content on YouTube and only so many hours of viewing time available, so I don't subscribe to many channels after just one video, you I sure did here. Fantastic work, clearly taught, without wasting my time. Thank you very much. :)

I live to hear this guy say these words in this sequence: Noise and add noise. Yes.

Best tutorial out there! Now I'll need to find one that will help mimic the intense highlights and rim light. Thanks

Short, simple, to the point and very clear. I came to learn how to do one effect and one effect only and I was shown in the time it took me to eat my sandwich. You have just earned yourself a subscriber.
