Haha, i am from Mytilene, Lesvos also and i make that joke as well, but even better:
My dad is Lesbian, my mom is Lesbian, my sister is Lesbian and well... i am Lesbian.

The term " Lesbian " came to be used for homosexual women, as the very famous poet Sapho came from the island of Lesvos and she had written a lot of poems about her love with other women. Sapho was from Erresos, a village in Lesvos on the west of the island, where as Mytilene, on the east is the capital and probably the most well known city since ancient times.

Btw, the island is called Lesvos, with a " V ", but foreigners call it Lesbos, with a " B ".
