ASMR In German | Writing & Repeating Basic Words & Phrases 🇩🇪

Hallo everyone✨ For this video I will be writing and repeating basic German words and phrases! :) I thought it would be fun to use a small white board for this video so you can see the words written out rather than just hearing them, but I am not an expert at the language by any means! You might know that I live in Germany and I often get asked why I live here, where I'm from, if I can speak German, etc. so I will also be answering those questions at the start of this video. If you'd like to go straight to the German you can skip to 6:25. I hope you enjoy 🤍

What is ASMR?
“Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response”
The relaxing static-like ‘brain tingles’ experienced by some people at the back of the head or down the spine in response to specific visual or audio triggers. ASMR content is commonly used to help with stress relief, relaxation, anxiety, and sleep.

as a native german speaker I just wanted to give you some feedback: you did amazing honestly and your accent is surprisingly mild. a lot of americans struggle with the „r“ in german as well as the „ch“ so thats nothing to worry about. :)

We germans are surprised and kinda thankful when foreigners learn german. Remember that the ch is just like the J in spanish like in Jalapeño. We see it like a "level up" when foreigners are able to pronounce it correctly :)))

I’m a native German speaker and this is always so much fun! It makes me take a closer look at pronunciation. For example I have never thought about the “r” being hard to pronounce for English speakers. But you did such an amazing job, you really don’t have to be insecure about anything!!

As an American who spent 14 years learning the German language, you did a great job with your pronunciation and there is absolutely no reason to be insecure about your abilities, especially when you are still trying to learn the language. Great video and ausgezeichnent

Sehr schönes video, vielen Dank dafür. Dein Deutsch ist sehr gut, ein leichter Akzent, der aber nicht störend wirkt. Gut gemacht, gab keinen Grund nervös zu sein, auch die Handschrift ist klasse :)
I hope this video gets a lot of positive feedback, cause i would love more german / english ASMR videos.

Aww Abby that was ausgezeichnet! As a german myself I weirdly always avoided the german asmr videos. Idk I just don’t like them as much as the english ones. But you made this video so nice and I enjoyed it. Thank you for your courage 🥰

As a native German speaker I only have to say two things first you speak the language already very well and I liked it watching you for the first time and second sometimes you pronounced the „ch“ a little wrong which isn’t a big problem but as an example on the numbers you pronounced it like a g a little bit but at minute 22 you pronounced it correctly on ich but that’s just something little and you will get it eventually 👍

I love linguistics, it’s so cool to hear what’s similar and different between languages and the different methods of expression in communication. Great video! Also I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to be too hard on yourself! You’re doing great
