I plan to make a shorter version of this video for people who want to get straight to the point, I had no idea soo many people would find this video helpful and never thought it would get all these views 😮 I’m still very new to making YouTube videos I’m my opinion I’m no pro by any means and this specific video was just me being me and I was pumped to figure out how to make barcodes myself!

This video was so helpful for me. I want to use barcodes to keep track of my reselling inventory. I am familiar with Avery products and have some of their labels already, which will save money as well. Most of my inventory is homemade items; so generating my own barcode system is essential. Thank you.

Hi, thank you for this wonderful video! My question is, you mentioned that you also use Square for your transactions. How do you add the barcode to your item is Square so that when you scan it, it matches with your Square item? I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Trying to avoid monthly subscription with Square!

Wonderful and simple video BUT I must say this may have some misunderstanding. If you create your own barcode in this way that does NOT mean that somehow that magically puts that info into the PoS system. For example, at most major retailers, we are all used to the UPC barcode system. That stands for universal product code, which is a predetermined preestablished code. That means if Walmart scans the PC or Crookers scans, the PC comes back with the same information. But how is it that if the prices are different at those two retailers That the system is able to differentiate well that’s because there are certain edible fields with UPC’s that tie in with the POS system of that particular retailer. So what I’m saying is is if you create this barcode, you are only giving it a name basically and that is not the entire picture to create What you are thinking or what you may be thinking you’re creating.
