Alright, now, let’s dive into the theme. Before continuing, I just want to clarify that I used Bronya as a reference to how the Tsaritsa might look like. Bronya is a character in Honkai Impact and the reason why I chose her was because there were evidence of Genshin characters’ design which took/inspired by Honkai characters (such as Raiden Shogun - Raiden Mei, Yae Miko - Yae Sakura etc.) So with that clarified, let’s jump right onto my thought process!

This is my first time creating a boss theme for an archon, so I heavily referenced it to Raiden Shogun’s battle theme. I noticed that Raiden has her own motif and her battle theme consisted of other Inazuman motif as well. So that’s exactly what I did here. I created my own motif for the Tsaritsa which literally started right as the intro begins and further emphasised in 0:29. The main idea behind this motif was to create an atmosphere that really captured the feeling of ‘the end’, at least in Teyvat (because we’ll most likely go to Celestia after we’re finished with Snezhnaya. Just my own speculation.) The female choirs singing “TSA RI TSA” was to further amplify the terror as well as to show the immense power of the Tsaritsa. As you can probably tell as well, the tempo of the song was not as fast compared to my fan made fatui harbingers themes. The reason behind this was because the Tsaritsa is the cryo archon, and whenever we got hit by the cryo element it affects our movement speed and stamina. So I figured creating a slower tempo compared to the harbingers makes sense for the Tsaritsa.

Just as the intro finished in 0:49, we move on to the next section which brings the energy down for a bit. And if you analyse it, the celeste piano in the back plays the Snezhnaya motif. The transition between the Tsaritsa’s motif and the Snezhnaya City’s theme was heavily inspired by Raiden Shogun’s battle theme. Moreover, at 1:37. There was a hint towards the Harbinger motif (Signora’s to be exact, but just slowed down).

In addition to that, to spice things up a little bit, I inserted another Snezhnaya theme which I created myself (so it’s not official) at 2:25. The reason why I inserted another of the city theme was because, if you noticed in each region (especially in their official album on streaming platforms) there’ll always be a track named after the region. And that track, such as Liyue, Inazuma etc. They always play the main theme of the region but then there’ll always be a second ‘main motif’. So I thought it would be nice for an archon boss theme to have a 2 of their city’s motifs in their theme. Then after the 2nd city motif was over, it’s back to the Tsaritsa’s main motif then the hint of the Harbingers motif then proceeded to the outro.

Alright! That was my overall thought process behind the Tsaritsa’s boss theme. I hope you all enjoyed the theme as much as I did making it. It was a lot of fun especially with the choirs and making the 2nd motif for Snezhnaya city and of course, the Tsaritsa’s own motif. Thank you all for reading and I hope you have a great day!

I'm of the sincere opinion that the Tsaritsa's theme needs several things: the leitmotif of the Fatui, Winter Night's Lazzo, and a bunch of chilling opera and as such I think this is the single best fanmade Tsaritsa theme

Imagine if you fight Tsaritsa. She's using Anemo, Geo, Electro, Dendro, Hydro, Pyro and Cryo Gnosis to resonate elements just like The Harbinger's Delusions

The "Tsaritsa" repeated in the background is the call of her people counting on her, respecting her and living her when she doesn't love herself while the music itself starts from a rather peaceful snow to a blizzard of emotions we've been trying to interfere with her plans from the starts and she lashes out in anger and sadness as she only want what's best for everyone.

Truly breathtaking track, hoping to have something similar in the game!

I love how this theme has a more somber, melancholic tone to it. Rather than an epic final boss, the Tsaritsa reads more as a sadder, more emotional boss fight with this theme. It fits with what Childe says about her, that she's a "a gentle soul that had to harden herself" and that her actions are intended to bring about peace in the end.

This was a pleasant surprise! It feels like the song is portraying two different perspectives, one being that of the Tsaritsa's followers and the other being the Tsaritsa herself. While her followers may view her as this benevolent ruler, who has brought Snehzanya "absolute peace" as quoted by Pierro; she does not view herself as that supposed benevolent ruler. She seems like the kind of antagonist who is well loved by her underlings who praise her, but she doesn't accept any of it believing she is undeserving of such kindness and might even be self-hating. Still, regardless if others view her as good or evil, she seeks only what she sees as best for her people, as well as the rest of Tevat. I'm VERY excited for when we finally meet her face to face. Maybe then the full truth will be revealed, in the land of eternal winter.

Goddamn, this is actually pretty good. Can hear glimpses of the Fatui leitmotif and some parts of a Winter Night's Lazzo which makes it more symbolic, the tension that it has makes it sound like that the Tsaritsa uses all of her weight and power against you.

Once again, from the Harbingers' theme to this, spectacular.

The chanting of "Tsaritsa" makes me think of her people chanting her name, their loyalty and devotion to her.But at the same time it makes it seem like she's undeniably powerful, an unstoppable force that cannot be stopped or reasoned with.

The truth is, even though the Tsaritsa may seem heartless based on her current actions in-game, in the end she seems more like a lost person who just wants to protect his/her family. Even Zhongli, one of the smartest people in the game, admits that the Tsartisa wasn't always this cold-hearted person. Wanderer, who basically hates the Fatui nowadays, also admitted that everyone praises her for her "kindness and benevolence". Of course, this love might be different that how we percieve it, but love is love.

Farabi Hasan Music, you've done a wonderful job at expressing the Tsaritsa's motives in this theme. Keep it up!
