I don't think this is the case. SAP Business One (SBO) runs on a different channel to ECC & R/3. Many SBO implementations of already work off HANA. There may be some talk of combining SBO with Business By Design (BYD) but this is going to be another challenge altogether.

I work for an SAP Gold partner. There is some propaganda going round that SAP Business One is end of life. This is a false narrative being adopted by the competition. SAP just announced future investment in SAP at the recent SMB summit in Vienna.
Business By Design has been marked end of life. ECC & R/3 customers do have a defined migration path to move to S/4 HANA before 2027 when support for these products will end.

This is incorrect. There is maintenance provided for current version SAP Business One v10, but next version (which name will be 11 or 10.1) will be supported after that for at least 5 years, so beyond 2030.
