I love people in the comments being more respectful than usual towards Cenk, also from the right. This is why we need openminded conversations/interviews like this. Lex is doing a great job 👏🏻

In the past, all my perceptions of Cenk had come from right wing commentators calling him “a nut” and “crazy”. This was actually a very engaging conversation with points that make sense. It’s crazy how brainwashed we all start out buying into “this team” or “that team”.

This is a much better format for Cenk to engage. When he is in debate mode, he gets flustered frequently because he's very passionated about what he's advocating, and that works against him. Being calm is better for him to successfully get his points across in a cohesive and coherent way. I wish he would take less confrontational debates and more open dialogues, that format is so much productive for him.

The thing I like about Cenk is his brutal honesty.

One of Cenk's strengths is he came from a conservative upbringing so he understands the mentality on both sides. These are the kinds of people we need talking to both sides to create more unity on common issues and diffuse the division. The elites WANT us to stay divided, to make it less likely we come together on issues like fair wages and benefits.

I had quit listening to Cenk and The Young Turks a decade ago but in this interview he sounded super reasonable and I'm going to give him another try

Lex's audience skews right of center, Cenk is probably the best left-wing/progressive conversation he's had for anyone who's willing to listen to the other side.
His critique on corporatism vs capitalism paradigm was super cogent and not one I have heard him make. Maybe most surprising was how sober he is about Trump, why he's popular, and why the false elector scheme was the real crime. This was a great listen.

As a right leaning moderate, I used to think Cenk was a radical in politics but after listening to this entire podcast, I have come to understand and agree with almost everything Cenk said. The media has truly become the people's worst enemy. United we stand, divided we fall.
