Unless you were a high school or college debate student, negotiating with a car dealership salesperson doesn't sound fun. I for one, see negotiating as confrontational, and that's something I want to avoid. But with a change of perspective and a few simple negotiation tips, you can potentially save thousands of dollars from the sticker price when you buy your next new or used car. Here are some tips and tricks on how to outsmart a car salesman.

Good tip is to also walk away, then call the next day/come back later.. I used to sell cars for a few years, and the salesman goes from “i got one on the hook” to “don’t want this one to get away”..

AVOID companies like Carvana. You cannot test drive the vehicle and take it to a mechanic for an inspection before purchasing it. And forget about their 7-day return policy. Good luck in getting your money back if you change your mind about the car purchase. They are trained to do everything they can to NOT refund your money.

Can you offer me some advice? Have a 2014 Camry SE V6 with 170, 000 km (not miles). I want to approach the dealer that has a 2014 Corolla LE for sale asking $12, 300 or so. I looked up the going price for similar camrys on Autotrader and their selling for $16, 000. How should I proceed. In a normal situation, the trade in is kept secret unyil a price is negotiated on the car, but in my case I want to exchange, and even take a loss on the Camry. Help!

Best to hold off on your possible trade until After the final price is reached...

I'm gonna start doing this less and kinda calm down more .. but there's still some notes that need to be taken
Observation/ theory I just went to a car parts store and this is the other thing is the air pods of Hispanics ( specifically Mexicans/ cubans ) coming and standing right next to me and this / 🤳 it's also noted that the white folks aren't doing these things and there was a heavy set African American guy at the register he was acting natural . that's been a constant variable . Mind you I not only grew up with Mexicans but Hispanics were the majority of my friends in high school . I'm taking notes to add to later
But to end these notes on my casual drive home I noticed a house with Mexicans outside and they had a Palestinians flag mounted ( bruh I live in the Midwest in a state where you never see stuff like that ( my hometown that I'm very familiar with) . # what is the theory of the Hispanic ( not racist I'm being specific because my Mexican ex gf who worked at these dealerships ).. what is the theory of the 6 or 7 mexican car dealership ( in a town of less than 15, 000 ) and money laundering ( the one by the car wash / trailer park are cartels (fact ) .

My local Ford dealership was charging $10, 000 dealer fees. I’ve never seen anything that ridiculous in all the states I’ve lived.
