Temu's motto is basically "not as bad as we expected."

I own several dozen welders, about a half dozen Miller etc and the rest weird welders I bought out of curiosity. I was pleasantly surprised at this temu ... Thing. I ended up just tossing under the seat of my truck with a box of 6013 just as the welder version of a truck gun. It's actually saved me or someone I came across in trouble on the road a number of times. You can get decent penetration and a nice bead out of it, and even the duty time is better than expected. I saved a fella whose hitch had only been tacked onto the tongue of his boat trailer by the shop that built it, damn near cost him a nice boat. I welded it up for him on the side of the road using an inverter. He took it to a welding shop when he got home, at my urging, just to have it checked out. The shop told him it looked fine, didn't need anything more. They couldn't believe it when he told them a guy did it for him with a temu ray gun welder!

The fact it even worked is truthfully impressive

I bought my buddy a $90 dollar welder from harbor freight and i dont regret it. Its helped us on lots of projects. Is it cheap, yes, but its better than nothing.

When it comes to cheap Chinese products it’s not about does it work well, it’s about how long will it work for. They test their things once and send it

I mean for $90 it works but for how long lol

My little welder from Temu just like the one you guys tested, I ran 2.5mm/7018 low hydrogen rods...worked great very impressed

Temu is like the updated wish. It actually sends you the stuff you buy and steals your information more efficiently

Could be a decent 4wheeler trail welder. Probably better than 2 batteries and some jumper cables

you laid such a tasty bead that you made it look like it's actually a decent machine, Manufacturer owes you for that.

I have some cheap welder experience. Some of them work better than expected, and have an amazing duty cycle. Maybe they don't even HAVE a duty cycle, b/c it's all electronic with a big fan that runs constantly, there's nothing to heat up? Stay tuned. Everyone I have tried (maybe six or eight) has GROSSLY overstated the amount of current available! If there is a digital display it doesn't measure anything, it just tells you how much you turned the knob! I did a little project with Engineering students, where everyone built a simple current meter (A "Shunt" resistor and an analog meter, available online or in a junk box locally, it's pretty simple.) We took some data! All the cheap welders were WAY WRONG, all in a different way! That was the big surprise! Project not finished. The good news: Each machine can be easily calibrated, you could make a little chart or table, stick it right on to the tiny welder, and then it's fine. SO, on this machine if you want 40 Amps, you SET 67. On the next machine if you want 40 Amps you might SET 24! It is that bad. BUT having done the calibration everything now makes sense, and you can use the information that comes with the box of welding rod!!!! AND every machine does the same job. In no case will you get 200 amps out of something the size of a can of SPAM that takes 110Volt power. A common piece of outright cheating from the makers is specifying the machine for 110V at 50 AMPS, which we don't usually have. Some day I'll make it up somehow and try, just in the name of Science.

I'm astonished it did half as good as it did. I think tossing one of these on the 4 wheeling kit would be fantastic. Well done bud.

Looks like a pretty good home use welder. These are the type of welders for the guy who uses it maybe 1-2 times a year.

Bought a really cheap stick welder from Harbor Freight back in the early 90's for around $50 bucks, just because I wanted a small stick welder that would run off a 5000 watt generator.. I used that little welder almost daily for small jobs up to 1/4" thick and IT'S STILL GOING! that little blue "hunk of junk" is one of the toughest things I've ever bought! ( Not counting the little 5, 000 watt generator I bought from Harbor Freight at the same time!!) It's crazy, most of the stuff they sell is cheap Chinese junk but some of it is really decent stuff!

i dont think being the greatest welder helps man, you just make it look like they are good for welding 😂😂

EDIT:anyone who dosnt understand im saying hes a good welder so it dosnt help show how bad the machine really is😂 not trynna call him out or anything jus sayin he layed some good welds

My favorite welder? Made it in the early 70's from a D9 Pony motor and a 1 KV generator with DC output paired up and set on a home made tow behind trailer with 25' of 1/2" soft copper braided welding cables. Bought this giant Ancient Lincoln welder at an auction that was fused with a fried transformer and melted wires but the rheostat, all the switches and sockets were good and used that for the contacts and controls. My employees are STILL using that welder around the farm and for really big welding jobs at the shop today.

I always recommend the best Lincoln welder you can get at Home Depot. If all you're doing is home projects that wire feed will cover all your bases. The average guy doesn't need a nice brand new Miller. As much as we would all love one

"Turn it up to fuck you and send it" LOL, that's one off the most American lines I've ever heard and I love it.
