Michael, I'm digging up this old video to tell you: 1) I LOVE your channel and videos! I came for 3D printing info and stayed for everything else! 2) I converted from Tinkercad to Onshape (bit the learning-curve bullet) 100% because of you and your videos!

Keep up the great work!

Freecad being open source is growing quickly it is FREE and no limitations use it foe cnc plasma part design fusion 360 has just crippled some of the previously free features whats to stop them from doing more damage later. Better put your time learning something that is really free. FREECAD

Could someone explain the problems with Onshape's free hobby plan? I'm sure a lot of us are wondering what the warnings are about.

After the Aug 7, 2018 license changes, I wouldn't recommend this any longer.

Great videos about OnShape. However, the OnShape videos are almost 6 years old now.
Do you still hold the same views now as you did in these old videos? How much have the software and purchasing structures changed now, and, would you still recommend it as your favorite? Thanks for all the great work you do!

Hi Michael, would you still recommend Onshape as a free CAD software solution for a beginner? Thanks

Good for newbies? I hope to get my very first 3D printer soon. Looking at Ender 3 and the a8. I like to build things.
Maybe the cr-10 after the new year.
Thank you very much

I enjoy and have benefitted from your tutorials. Thank you very much Michael! I am stumped!! Is there any way to add a concaved bottom to a sketch/part, in order to fit on to a curved surface? I have been trying to do this with the skills I have acquired from your videos, but so far am unsuccessful. Any hints or guidance would be much appreciated. 🙂

Great video Michael and I'm coming over from Inventor and switching over to Onshape. I've been playing around with it for about a week now and have found the program impressive. While I'm here, do you know of a way to assign a different color to a surface or face of a part. I've found this feature lacking a little frustrating. Thanks for the help!

Having my files be public is a deal breaker. It wouldn't matter for some models, but others I would not want to be out there. I guess it's 360 for me.

Hi! I would like to learn to use CAD, but I'm just picking which start with.
I want to learn this for personal projects but, also, to be able to professionaly work with it, or at least being able to put it on my resume.
So I would like to learn something that could serve me both. Does this software have some sort of laboral potential? Recruiters consider yout abilities with this software or it's like photoshop (I mean, no one asks if you know how to use GIMP, for instance, everybody want's you to use adobe).
Thanks, and sorry for my rusty English. =P

The disadvantage of cloud software is that you are at the mercy of the internet.
I prefer softwares that I can download

Thanks for posting this, Michael... I appreciate your channel & methods. Good, useful info, but that music was too loud and distracting. I wear earphones, so it's probably more of an issue for me. Music that is 10%-20% the volume of the person speaking works well.
