Non – Ionic Pigments: --
1. They are insoluble.
2. They are non-ionic organic compounds.'
3. They have higher brightness than ionic pigments.
They are further classified
a) Mono-azo pigments: --
They are used as yellow pigments. E.g. 1) Hansa Yellow. G. 2) Pigment Red - 2 These pigments are used for paints and printing inks.

b) Diazo Pigments: — E.g. nickel azo yellow It is used in the mass colouration of rubber.

c) Azomethine pigments: — They have very good and lightfastness. ist Their general formulae is

d) Thio indigo pigments: ---They have brilliant shades. They are used in printing inks, paints, enamels etc mis They are used for the mass colouration of plastic and viscose rayon.

e) Anthraquinone: --They are actually vat dyes. E.g. Indianthrone Blue BC

f) Quinacridone pigments: --Their colour and shades depends physical form. A, B, X... Form. ß And x forms are mainly used as they have good general fastness properties.

g) Phthalocyanine: They have brilliant shades. Excellent light and neat fastness. It has blue colour. E.g. Copper phthalocyanine.
