Former Israeli spy: Hamas ‘was smarter’ than Israel and Netanyahu is ‘destroying everything’

Gonen Ben Itzhak, a former Israeli spy and vocal critic of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said on Saturday that Israel is “arrogant” and that Hamas was “smarter” than them. He also lashed out at Netanyahu, saying he is “destroying everything”, particularly Israel’s relationship with the United States and President Joe Biden.

Ben Itzhak was the handler for Mosab Hassan Yousef, known as “The Green Prince” and the eldest offspring of Hamas co-founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef.

He worked with the Hamas collaborator to follow Palestinian militants to thwart suicide operations, including arresting jailed Fatah figurehead Marwan Barghouti.
