I guess Art was struggling in Paul’s shadow. That’s probably what the underlying problem was - he didn’t get much of a look in with Paul writing, singing lead and playing guitar, Art was just an add-on. But Art had the voice of an angel. Truly great.

Not 100% true. Paul didn't want to sing lead on Bridge Over Troubled Water so he put it on Art. After it became a huge hit Paul resented it and Art too.
