Tim Duncan is so underrated when it comes to greatest players of all time

I could watch him all day, it was because of him I started going glass, to the point where I was able to shoot 3's from the side to bank them in. He's such a great talent, and you gotta respect how well he can outsmart his opponent. Now I can see why his opponents refuse to let him on the low block, or post up anymore.

Hakeem's post moves are ridiculous: dynamic, quick, explosive.
Tim's were subtle: smooth, simple, fundamental. (How easy does he make this look? Case in point: 7:22)

What I love about Duncan is that he doesn't do complicated things and he doesn't rush or go crazy. He stays calm and patient and he outsmarts other players using simple post moves and bank shots.

Excellent video. Love the shimmy right, then finish with the hook over the left shoulder (4:18) and the sweeping hook (4:00). I use 'em in pickup all the time.

The fact that Tim is still great now makes it easy for people to forget how dominant he was in the late 90s and early 2000s. He was one of the most athletic big men in the league and couldn't be dealt with. Early Tim Duncan is the second best player I've ever seen.
