Peat soil fire following slash burn, near Sungai Besar, North Selangor, Malaysia

This is the site of a palm slash fire that was ignited on 15 July 2016 (12 days before this video was filmed). The slash fire ignited the underlying peat soil which has continued to smoulder up until the date of this filming (27 July 2016). There is some residual smouldering of the larger pieces of palm slash, but the majority of the smoke is emanating from the peat soil.
