Fun fact: I’m 71 years old. Back when I was in my twenties we used to snowshoe out in the morning until it was time to stop for the night. We’d find the thickest stand of spruce with low hanging branches and make our camp. We’d add branches on top of each till we had a nice cozy den to spend the night then we’d pile about a foot os boughs on the ground to sleep on. We’d gather enough wood to last the night and bank the fire so the heat was reflected inward to where we were sleeping. We’d sit up in our sleeping bags and drink tea till bedtime. Always fun times.😅

This movie makes me want to get back out in the woods where I grew up in a 2 room shack or the country where I lived 20+ years on the farm.😊🐎🐴🐎🐴🐎🐴🐎🐴

This was a superb movie. Very realistic. Excellent acting. Excellent story. Costumes authentic. Log cabin authentic. Can't say enough good things about this movie.

A minimalist Western probably closer to the real life of the earliest mountainmen and explorers of the Far West. A well made movie with a simple and thin storyline. Excellent photography and accompanying folk music. Good direction. One of the best Westerns in recent years. Hats off to all those involved with the making of the movie.

"Have you not heard of the gold in California? Where a man can work one summer and have enough gold for a lifetime! Well, looks like you only have one summer left. I guess wont need much gold now will I?!" Ha ha ha ha. Great soundtrack and great pristine views. All except the nice exfoliated skin of the brothers, this was a really great movie.

Thank you, I enjoyed it a great deal. At age 73, I have seen two-three times the amount of movies most others have since I have been a movie addict all my life, sometimes seeing three features a weekend. I remember well the Golden Age of Hollywood because I lived through half of it and watched most of the earlier stuff.

I was very impressed with the photography and the realism. I really hope they do more because I would love to see them. I thought it was very similar to Jeremiah Johnson. Add in the interaction of the brothers and it was better than the Quaids.

I wish I would have made the choice to live a mountain off grid life. Struggling here for nothing was foolish, much rather struggle for survival and answer to NO one. Now i have 2 cancers from unsafe workplace in the 80's . 1 person gets rich through the death of many

Life was hard, it was a miracle to survive in such circumstsmces, a real struggle the art of surviving I guess even in our modern society we face adversity and strengthen our character through it.
