I can really relate to this song. I was always afraid that people would not like me for who I am. I was always shy to talk to anyone. I was always pretending to be someone else I am not. One day i showed everyone who I really was and they said they liked me being me better than me being someone else. I could finally be the real me.

Just discovered this song and I can relate.
I recently came out to my family and one of my best friends as transgender.
I had decided longer before that, though, to dress the way I like, cut my hair, etc, to look more like a boy. And I never felt so much like the real me. I'm still not out in school but I plan to do it some time this year.

This song is awesome! I was trying to be someone I'm not, but this song and the movie, has made me realize, I just need to be me. Because if I can't be me, then I can't be anyone. I read the comments so far and there are many of us who r afraid to be themselves to show the people aroud us who we really are, but think about it why r u afraid, is it because you will turn into a joke or is it because you think people wont accept you the way you r or is it because you think you won't fit in the crowd. But the truth is that if someone doesnt accept you the way you r they just dont desrve to be around you, they dont desrve you. Everyone has a diferent nature a different thought to others so dont be afraid to show the world your real you. Dont think about fitting in the crowd because why should you try to fit in when you were born to stand out. I think that that evry one shud just be themselves n this song is really inspiring.
