Why is high maneuver capability not needed in modern fighter jets? Some of the reasons are the rare occurrence of direct dogfights, Generally high maneuverability is very useful and is one of the advantages of fighter jets of World War I and World War II eras, namely to avoid enemy fire during direct dogfighting. Many fighter jets designed for long-range combat are capable of locking onto targets beyond the pilot's sight. For example, the F-22 Raptor is able to track and notice an enemy from tens of kilometers away, and the Raptor does not have to approach the target to be able to shoot or lock on to it. Another reason is that the speed of the missile is far above the average fighter jet, The missile can easily pursue targets such as the meteor missile launched from the Eurofighter Typhoon and can accelerate to speeds of Mach 4, which is enough speed to catch up to fighter jet targets which generally have a maximum speed of Mach 3.

terminally, i mean at the end of all technology, so to speak, high maneuver capability IS NECESSARY, because it will make viable shooting down all incoming missiles, with just bullets. A end of all technology aircraft, will rotate on three axes, to shoot with its own gun, any missile, just one shot per missile. Hundred AA missiles, unless hypersonic, will not be enough to shot down a single fighter. But for that, extreme maneuverbility!
