I honestly don't think they should be calling it AI considering it works as an algorithm smashing together ideas and concepts from words into pictures.
That is definitely not the definition of artificial intelligence.
That's more like artificial guessing.

I see a role for using AI as an animation pathway for making at least B-film level entertainment. As we know, there are projects (like Blade) that never get greenlit for production, due to endless disputes over casting, scripts and other elements. Whereas animation can speedily be done to finish a project from start to finish. On YouTube you already see AI re-imaginings of big movie franchises and old TV shows (take a look at one for Thundarr the Barbarian, for example). Just make a CGI movie of it fully animating the AI concept art, and be done with it.

Well ranted. Guess the movie studios are going to have to learn the hard way like they always do. When the stuff that comes out of those studios suck because of the AI content, the movies will tank and people will stop turning out. But we'll have to suffer through those bad movies first. Why do they think all of these directors are going to straight practical effects for their movies? Do they think that's a joke?
