Thanks, just made a major beginners error by not moving to my party when I was marked with the yellow arrow. I thought I had to move away from them. But thankfully the mechanics are becoming clearer now, thanks to videos like this and so many helpfull players in the game.

The purple gem over a players head with a circle, you don't seem to describe if the circles must not overlap other circles or the overlap that matters is if mutiple avatars is in each others circles.

Huge difference in area.
