The steering is much better than the 2012 camry i test drove last year, much less body roll as well.

I changed my mind on the i30 and I have already put a deposit on a 2018 camry with 58k

Nice colour. I think I would pull those black fake vents out and get them painted to match the red.

I note, after test driving the Camry Hybrid SL, that the 4 cyl engine is quite growly on decent acceleration and that the battery engine has a very short whining noise as it gets going and (if I remember correctly) a very short whining noise as it winds off - a little irritating ! No doubt no such problems on your 6 cyl engine. I understand that the US model RAV 4 Prime (electric plug in hybrid) has resolved this issue. However, its not that bad, for the massive economy, I could live with it. The feature I absolutely loved the most on the SL was the heads up display on the windscreen giving you the compass and the digital speed (quite clear, even on a bright day) without having to dip your head down to read the dash speedo. However, I did not like the 18" wheels, as the lower profile makes you a little more aware of bumps on the road but smooth none-the-less (17" with more rubber should give a softer ride). Another thing I did not like about the Camry is that it sits quite low, and if you're in senior age bracket, getting up out of the seat is a bit harder. This is making me consider the RAV 4 Hybrid which is higher and has a lot better ground clearance.

They are great cars I test drove the new 2021 both petrol and hybrid models last week but found that the fact the new Dynamic Force engine that is in the new one has to run on premium 95ron that's a deal breaker for me that's 20cents a litre extra at the servo.

Is that a Harley EVO engine rumbling at the start?

There a nice car but it will be worth half its value in 15 years. Should of bought a holden or ford v8, there skyrocketing in price. I paid 17k for a bf gt 4 years ago. There now asking 50k for the same millage cars. I also have a fairlane g8. They sold bugger all g8's, because it was competing with the ve statesman. The ve statesman was the first aussie built long wheelbase car with larger rear doors than the short wheel base car. The rear doors are a joke on the fairlane. My dads elantra has much easier access and egress. But it's a v8. That's why I bought it.
