The Legend of the Appin Dirk, Appin, Argyll, Exploring Scotland's History

A look at the Appin area, the architecture, history, legend and natural history too. More of a teaser of the stories and sites to come as we look more closely at the Appin area and it's place in Scottish history. But we begin with The Appin Dirk and the story of it's gruesome manufacture.

My ancestors Donald Stewart and his wife Agnes McColl came to Australia in 1840. Donald's grandparents were Allan Stewart and Mary McDonald of Shuna Island. I have visited Allan's grave at Kiel Burial ground and enjoyed all the beauty and history of my ancestors ancient homeland.

Well once again my young friend, a very fact filled video, full of detailed information! How I wish that I was young again, and as good on my feet, like I was many, many years ago! I'd be in that van with you gambling like a spring lamb, over hillocks and paths. ...old Tich.

Currently in Appin and finding my way to all these amazing places.
My family, Appin Stewarts who come from North Uist descend from one of three Stewart brothers who left appin for North Uist in 1803 to work on Sponish house in Lochmaddy..
It's so nice to be in Appin and to be walking in the footsteps of my forefathers.
Thank you for this video!

Sea levels werenโ€™t higher, ice melting allowed the land to rise. That seems to have been the way of it!๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜
