Cable snapped on the boom, those old asplundh booms need the cables changed every 10 years or so

NEVER should have even been using that fucking I doubt that truck had ever been inspected and because it's so old and worn out it most likely would have failed inspection.

That is sad. Looks like that truck is early 1980s. Dayton wheels dead giveaway. Those old cable assemblies rust or slip out of their compression joint. Tree companies are not all rolling in the money as some have posted. It takes years to finally have things going smooth.

Old bucket units like that are cable driven. Most likely one snapped.

Had nothing to do with winds or weather, the joint was most likely not maintained, missing something, or was not securely locked

So sad BUT 2 things, stop having so many kids so you have money to maintain you equipment. DAM that s a ruff looking truck!!! Or have the 5 kids and charge more for the jobs so you can maintain your equipment
