This was the talk I gave at IIT Madras on Oct 8th, Saturday 2022. I was invited by the EA club there to talk about AI Safety, specifically about the risk from AGI.
In this talk I discuss what the Effective Altruism (EA) community is about, briefly touch about on the link to the lesswrong community, longtermism before talking about AI Safety, the areas of concern as we develop more advance capabilities.
