Metal Sonic is my favorite character in the series and that boss was so unique kind of like how unique Metal Sonic is in the Robotnik army because he is programmed to be almost exactly the same as Sonic

I do like the idea of an intense race in a Sonic game, and I think it was fairly well executed here. I think that the Metal Sonic level in CD needs a bit more polish to make it flow a little better. I do think the critique of some of the classic Sonic bosses is a little unfair, because when executed correctly, even though you are only smacking the boss, it takes some platforming and timing skill to beat the boss quickly.
