What I've noticed is that whoever is shown on the "previously" part that season tends to focus on them.

I thought it was odd that the green ninja opening for the first season looked like Kai just with out the scar but the green ninja in Zane's dream in season one had Lloyd's older face but Kai's voice! If you listen carefully when the green ninja flips over garmadon in Zane's dream he grunts but with Kai's voice! Rewatch it and you will see.
